[nagdu] Exercising with Your Dog

Hi Abigail

Oh, how I get exercise. Well that is similar and different. I told you what
I do with the dog. Without the dog I have a tandem bike and get out at least
once a week for a good hard ride. I used to race tandems when I was much
younger. In the winter I am the goalie on Vancouver's blind ice hockey team.
I also do some down hill skiing. We have a weekly program at one of our
local hills so, although the hill is a bit small, it is good exercise during
the winter.

All that with the hiking and walking is how I try to keep in shape. It
depends on what and where I'm going I I take bogart or not. At the arena
where we have been playing hockey for 15 years bogart stays behind the
counter with the gals there and he is a star with all the kids. Otherwise I
usually leave him home. Last year I had to take him to a different arena and
he didn't like being left in the dressin groom. The door was at my end of
the ice and he was ripping my heart out while I played with his howling.
Obviously I try to avoid this sort of situation.

Gary

Rebecca,

I find your dog's name and breed ironic; my family has raised a number of
service dogs (Carolina canines for Service) over the years. One of the dogs
we raised was a blonde labradoodle named Zebulon, but we refered to him as
Zeb most of the time.

I appreciate your feedback, but I was looking more for ways that humans get
exercise, not necessarily exercising the dog.

Gary, thanks for your feedback as well.

Abigail
