[nagdu] question about transporting retired guide dog

Hi, all.

As most of you know, my Caroline dog will soon be retired. My family will be adopting her, but they live in Michigan, and I'm in New York.

I've heard that, for a fee, and with a health certificate, certain airlines would let a member of my family bring her aboard a plane. I'm reluctant to crate her, unless it's absolutely necessary. So, if this is true, it would be a perfect solution. Do any of you have experience with this sort of thing, or, would anyone happen to know what the TSA says about this?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
