Hannah, You might try contacting Marion Gwisdala, the NAGDU president, about this. I'm remembering that he was working on the issue of colleges refusing students with guides in the dorms because some high up advisor type of person made a statement that was factually incorrect, but the colleges are using it as guideance anyway.
