[nagdu] Pinch collars

AS meghan said, it is not necessary to have to give a whale of a lash corection wiht th epinch collar.  However, on at least two occasions, I did have to deliver more forceful corrections wiht the pinch collar (one under the supervision of Will Henry from The Seeing Eye), and they got Griffin's attention.  But the beauty of the pinch collar is that you can just barely apply tension to the leash, and that lets the dog that you are there.

Now, the P-collar is not the solution for every dog and for every situation.  The GL can be equally effective as a leveler of attitude and unwanted behaviors, and I have also used it to get my point across.  Restaurants come to mind.  Griffin can be a scavenger, and if either stern verbal corrections or a stern leash correction do not get through to him, I jsut quietly slip the GL on, and ding, ding, ding!!!  The scavenging stops.  Granted, I am managing the behavior at this point, but I don't care.  My goal is to end the scavenging, and if correcting until I am blue in the face does not stop it, then I'll manage it by using the GL.
