Hi Marcia,

sorry this message is coming late again. I'm still healing from my fractured leg and I don't always feel like hauling my wheelchair to the computer *smile*.

I think sometimes, the more advanced we get, the more we forget where we came from. We forget that once, we knew nothing of how to travel well under any circumstances. We forget that we once didn't know how to travel by bus, train, etc.

We forget that we didn't know how to use a c omputer and some of us were around when a screen reader was unheard of.

I think we all, at times, should stop and remember where it is we came from. Mostly, being thankful to whatever deity or anything else we feel compelled to thank, that we have been blessed, etc, with the knowledge that we do have. realizing that those who came before us and those who will come after us didn't have the opportunities we have now, and some, who may come to this list, or others whether it be blindness related or not, need a hand up, being uplifted and encouraged.

It is important for all of us to uplift and teach those who are just starting out how to use a dog, get in touch with proper authorities to help them in life's journey as a blind person, or anything else someone might need.

People such as the Good Will President or CEO or whatever he is, has forgotten that.

I think that when we lose sight that we all started out as new people in our journey as blind people and people in general, we forget that there was someone in our lives that lifted us up and showed us how to fly too.

sorry this is a little philosophical, but I'm feeling kind of like that tonight.

I wish you all the best Sunday and hope that I can be of some service to someone that may need it someday too.
