Awwww, well okay. Poor thing had to have it off, if it was that bad. Glad it
was fixed. I do bet he is cute.

Marsha, actually, he is a happier puppy now. he got a hot spot on the end
of his tail last May. that kind of healed after convention. then, we went
to a computer store. by a very unfortunate fluke, we walked in and Arrow
was in such aposition that the person who walked in right after us--on our
heels--shut the door and his tail was caught in the door. While that was
trying to heal, his tail got infected. He would bang his tail against
walls, somehow work his bandages off, bleed everywhere. Last September, the

vet and I decided to board Arrow there for a week and the vet thought they
could get him on the way to healing, but, they had no better luck than I
did or they did. They even made him a protective bandage sort of contraption

out of tubing from an anesthetic machine but he got that off. he bled
everywhere several times there, so, on a Saturday morning while on an amtrak

train back to Buffalo from albany, the vet called my cell phone and admitted

they were at the end of thier rope and suggested amputation of his tail. I
readily agreed and that was done the following Monday morning. We went
through quite a hellacious few months with that. People, including Seeing
eye instructors, tell me that labs with the little stubby tails look very
cute and Arrow knows how to wag that little tail very well. so, no, please,
no poor puppy. Very happy puppy.
