[nagdu] Swabbing for Explosive Trace Detection

I'm under the impression that ALL passengers get their hands swabbed. My
friend, who flies alot, told me about this process. She has no animal with
her while flying. they didn't do that when i flew last in 2009.

Oh, the so-called special airport leash. It sounds like a leash I've seen
for years in dog supply cataloges. they're made of rolled nylon just like
the nylon choke collars. Also veterinarians and groomers have a real cheap
variety in their office in case someone forgot to bring their dog's leash
and they give one of these to them. I just use my dog's regular leash and
make it into a long leash while going throuogh the metal detector.

It is true you don't touch the dog after if has come through the detector
until it has been patted down. You only keep a hold of the leash. No big
deal. Landon finds the pat down the most fun part of the whole flight
process! LOL! And the TSA folks have a great laugh and it makes their day.
I seem to get the dog lovers on TSA.

Lyn and Landon
