[nagdu] bad handlers

Hello All,
As a lot of you know, I'm a fairly new guide dog handler. I've only
had Anise for two months, and I do allow people who ask politely to
pet her while in harness. I don't feel that this makes me a bad
handler, and the only reason why I allow the petting is because my dog
is so calm that nothing gets her excited so she is totally oblivious
to the petting. In fact, while I was in training, my instructor had me
practice scenarios where I'd ask people to pet her while in harness
just so that I'd learn to keep the situation under control. As most of
you have stated, we all do things differently, and it all depends on
our perception of the situation.
Best,
Juanita And Anise
