Rebecca,

The janitor is not getting involved in any way that could jeopardize him in 
any way. Also, I never said I was not concerned about his career.

I know the people who have offered to help are doing it of there own free 
will, and are willing to help. I know they understand the potential risks 
inherent with going toe to toe with administration. I am going to stay at 
this school because of such people. I have people at this school who are 
willing to do anything to help. This is one of the reasons why this school 
is such a good fit for me.

Recently, there has not been an opportunity for meetings. Without me forcing 
the point, administration does not want to meet with me at this time. 
However, if I am summoned to a meeting, I guarantee, I will invite all the 
people who are helping to attend to help advocate on my side.

All the meetings were at the start of the problem, before I realized the 
severity of it. Representatives of the guide dog school did talk to school 
administration with me. Subsequently, all communication has been either 
comments in passing, over the phone, or by email; however, not many by 
email.

At this time, I don't want to upset the apple cart and force a meeting, 
until I have all my ducks in a row. Although I appreciate the help provided 
by the people who are willing to help, they are not experts in guide dog 
acksess. I am in consultation with some people who are, and we are 
formulating an action plan.

The people I want to be nice to are the staff of the office for students 
with disabilities. I can't afford to ruffle feathers there, because I have 
to work with them so much for accommodations and adapting materials for my 
classes.
