How could a school *require* me to sit anywhere?  Like the Russians say,
the land is big and the Czar is far away.
No one from the school is standing over me when I fly somewhere, except
possibly flying home from class.
So long as a school is not misinforming the airlines that I must sit in
the bulkhead, I really don't care what they think.
I've gotten dumb advice from trainers on occasion, and ignored it.
