Thanks Cindy, the one problem is that I have to have some of the papers
signed off on by his vet not more than 10 days before we get to that port
plus some other unrealistic requirements in other ports. That and trying to
train him to go on a small mat is another. If I stay on board it kind of
defeats the purpose and I would definitely drink too much.

Don't you have time to work through taking the dog? The dog will be fine if
you leave him that long. Mine didn't like me much for a few hours after I
got back, but he did et over it within the same day.

The next time I went on a cruise I took him with me, but I didn't get off
the boat. It wasn't a requirement.
