Hi julie,
is jetta a cropped and docked dobbie? mine was and, the entire time i had her nobody wanted to pet her either. it was great! she worked for me until she was ten and a half. with my current shepherd, someone has asked to pet her like maybe 2 or 3 times and, she is five and a half.
but, then again, i am one of those folks who does not want to talk dogs and educate the public all day long.
i would do horrible with a breed such as a golden. the public’s reaction to such a cute dog would absolutely drive me mad. heh.
but, that’s why we have choices.
