[nagdu] living in dorms with a dog

My freshman year, I was alone in a double room; I don't know how two people could have stayed in that room. The other three years, I was in a single. I do not recall having to pay extra as it was considered a reasonable accommodation. JMHO, I would not have a roommate unless I could choose the roommate and the college would help if there was a problem.

It is eaiier for me to hear my dog when I'm in my room by myself because I can make sure there isn't too much noise for me to hear my dog. I sometimes put a bell on her collar for this purpose. But a roommate may be iffritated by a loud bel that I need in order to hear my dog.
