I have and loved it. It was one of my proudest moments. You just tell the
dog what you need/want it to do, then enjoy.

Subject: [nagdu] doggie caps and gowns

Hi List,
I will hopefully graduating from University in may. Prayers, crossed
fingers, and positive thoughts are appreciated. Anyway, someone at my
university asked me if I was going to have my dog during graduation. My
university is very large, about 45,000 students. Graduation takes place by
school within the university, and university wide. I know others on here
have graduated with your guides. How has this worked for you? Any advice?
Anything to do or not to do? Within talking with that person about having my
pup at graduation, they asked if I was going to walk with her across the
stage. Have others done that before? Any tips or tricks? And finally, as the
subject line says, have any of you gotten little caps and gowns for your
guide for graduation? If so, where do you get them? I do not know my
universities colors. I guess I should ask. LOL This will be quite a
production for me, as I will be using an interpretor, who will be in a cap
and gown too, using tactual sign language, with my guide dog, accepting my
diploma, and walking across the stage.
Ok, so there are the questions, now, give me all of your wisdoem on the
subject....Go!
