[nagdu] Offset harness handles

Hi Karyn, Yes I have made offset harness handles. I use a metal dowel and
bend it to whatever specifications needed.Some have been not so easy to
do,because I need the exact measurements for each bend. The one I use for
my dog is only of set on one side as this works better for me as I use my
dog from a wheelchair. It is curved outward on the left side of the handle
and then is bent in to a slight curve for where I hold it. The right side
is straight as in a normal handle. This works very well for me. I have made
other off set handles but they are not as easy to make as you need the
exact measurements in order to bend at the right point.It can be done
though.For my self,I found the regular offset handle too much handle that
got in my way when my dog was guiding me. I cover the handles with a
synthetic rubber like tubing. it stays clean with just wiping it off with a
damp cloth.I have in the past,covered the handles with leather but I don't
have a sewing machine that sews through leather so I had to sew them by
hand. I can nolonger do this as I have great trouble threading needles and
pushing the needle through the leather. I have too much arthritis in my
hands now. In case anyone should be interested in purchasing a harness made
by me,I have one that was made for someone who never paid for it.It is made
of black leather, with a regular handle.The fittings are of stainless steel
and brass. It gives the look of gold and silver and makes the harness look
fancy.I really like the look,but I don't need a new harness for my Shepherd
who in now semi retired.It doesn't fit my husky, so I am asking
$95.00,which is less than it cost me to make.This is one of the last
harnesses I made.I can still make handles,but I am no longer making
