Hey, Raven; I'm not sure I'm convinced to feed raw, but I'd rather put the
money in my dog than in the vet's  pocket.

Hi Darla,
So most grocery store meats are treated with some cleansing liquid.
Just rinse it off thoroughly before feeding it.
Also, there are a number of cheap ways to get meat--from processors,
abattoirs, taxidermists, friends who hunt and farm, CraigsList and
Freecycle. Rawfeeding carnivores is only as expensive as you make it.
Also, whatever raw-feeding costs will far out way expenses in vet bills
treating disease caused by an improper diet.
