Hi Steve,

Thank you for offering to help Jewel exercise her right to get her
health better and be accompanied by her guide dog.
You know: I am really sick of people making pronouncements when they
don't know.
I was going to volunteer at a h9ospital not just pointing people to
the right place, etc., but it was my hope to work with patience, as I have a
counseling background. They made such a big deal out of my dog--and when I
did a volunteer shadow one day--the volunteer I was paired with was abusive
and intrusive.
If I'm at death's door, I won't go to that hospital, though we will
be at a public meeting there tomorrow, and I believe we walk though the main
entrance where the volunteers are.
We are here for you, Jewell never forget that, and I have a
tremendous respect for your willingness to do what you need to do to be
healthy, and whether or not your dog can be with you, should never have come
up With Sincere Respect,
Darla & Huck
.

Jewell,
Keep in mind, that therapists are not experts in civil rights laws, and are
just voicing their opinion, not the facts of the law. I am assuming that
you have a case manager that you are working with, and at some level, most
likely the department of human services. Regardless, State's generally
license and regulate group homes, so go right to the top. If you need
assistance in getting connected with the proper person in your state, just
email me at blinddog3 at charter.net.

Steve

I'd also be looking for a new therapist. Presumably yours helped you find
the group home solution. He or she now needs to do absolutely everything for
this to work.
If the therapist won't help, this is not someone you want involved in your
medical care.
If your therapist didn't help you find the group home solution, then it's
really time to get a new provider.

You can fight this under a reasonable accommodation. is the fair housing
representing you? I don't think they can turn you down .
