[nagdu] Noise at the corner

Now that you folks mention it, some of my fear was increased by having a highway to cross for several years. I could hear cars, and they wouldn’t be that close, but I couldn’t make myself cross, or I did and it was almost too late sometimes. It is hard to determine the distances I think.

I find myself standing there for what seems like forever because I can hear cars, but I can't tell how far away they are to know if I have enough time to cross. when I'm with my teen age son, I'll be waiting and he'll tell me that car is over a block away, I think you can make it.
