Hi Barb,
sorry, but, no matter what you say to try and convince me, i will never change my mind.  no way do i think that you should waste a perfectly well-trained guide dog.
get a pet.
there are plenty of fine pets out there.  why do you insist on a guide dog?
once again you have never said that you need a dog to guide you.  
millions of people have pets and love them.
