[nagdu] a goat

The Golden Guy hates horses. I don't know if he was exposed to them
during puppyhood. But during the fall, I frequent apple orchards and
enjoy hayrides. The Golden Guy will bark and growl at the horses
pulling the hayrides.

He even knows when he sees fake horses. I went to a museum where there
was a gigantic bronze horse statue and a smaller replica. The
sculpture itself was too large for a dog to recognize as a horse. But
the replica, which was up on a 3-foot pedestal and was only 18 inches
tall itself, got a reaction out of him. He ran up to the replica,
jumped up and put his front paws on the pedestal, and started barking
at this tiny fake horse. This was all outside, and he was out of
harness, so it was funny. Very odd to see him break his stoic demeanor
in public, but still funny. He must really be afraid of them.
When I'm around real horses now, I keep his Halti on so that he
doesn't vocalize. The horses don't care either way, but it's just more
professional of him to keep quiet.
