I had a big problem with my dog when I traveled to Europe one time. I
did let the airline know I had a dog, my husband went to get the
proper papers that were required to bring the dog in and all of the
shots required. We got on the plane to travel over the big pond and
we were held on the ground because every time the pilot tried to enter
information about the dog in the cabin it moved the dog to the baggage
area. We had to pull out all of our papers and show them to the
airline attendant. We finally got underway. The funny thing was the
only time we ever had to show papers related to the dog was leaving
and returning to the U.S.
