[nagdu] moving to a new city: suggestions?

Hi Aleeha, when are you moving? If you have a little time before 
you move, you might go to that city and walk around a bit, maybe 
take a friend? Go to a restaurant or somewhere where you feel 
relaxed, and above all, you have to act like you're not stressed.  
You know, fake it til you make it.  (Smile).  If you can do that, 
then that will go a long way towards helping him.  Do obedience, 
(I know that sounds weird) but it establishes boundaries, is 
something that he's familiar with, and he gets lots of praise.  
At your new place, play with him a lot, and cuddle (if he likes 
that).  You have to act like this is the most exciting thing in 
the world.  I know this is all hard, I've had to move a lot on my 
own, and it's just not fun.  If this is for a new job, perhaps 
your state will provide some OandM for you.  And call Seeing Eye.  
Talk it through with one of the instructors.  They will have good 
ideas, and will be really supportive.  And if someone's going to 
be in your area anyway, they might send someone to help you, 
especially since this is your first dog, right? You can write me 
privately if you'd like.  We're on another list together too, so
