[nagdu] collars

My dog was issued with a chain slip collar. I find that corrections
only stopped the undesirable behavior for the moment, not in the long
term. A correction will stop my dog from sniffing but he will gladly
endure a leash correction if he can still eat something off the floor.
He now wears a nylon buckle collar all of the time. I also use a Halti
a fair amount of the time. It primarily prevents him from scavenging
and allows me to limit his sniffing; however, it is also useful when
it comes to pretty much any kind of distraction and to reduce his pull
when he is over excited.
