[nagdu] Relieving harness question, was Re: Pickup The Poop

Hi Maria.
Blind people have been teaching each other how to pick up after their dogs 
for years, so I'll have a go at explaining to you how it's done.
Get a plastic bag big enough to fit comfortably over your whole hand.  I 
like sandwich bags; others use grocery bags, and others buy special poop 
bags.
Keep the dog on a short enough leash so you can tell what it's doing.  Most 
dogs do a bit of a dance before pooping.  Some go in little circles, and 
others wiggle their butts a bit.  When the dog stops moving, check her back. 
If she's pooping, her back will have a definite arch down.  Remember where 
her butt is, or point your foot at it.
When she's done and moves away, put your hand into your bag and reach down 
and feel around for the pile.  Scoop it into your hand and turn the bag 
inside out, so now the poop is on the inside and your hand is on the 
outside.  You can practice this beforehand by picking up something with the 
bag, like an apple, for example.
And there you are, all picked up, no mess on you or the ground.
