Thanks Raven! Unfortunately I don't know how she got the first
infection because I boarded her at the school when I went abroad
over the summer. It would be helpful if I know how she developed
it, but I will try treating it with coconut oil.

The answer to your dilemma depends on the cause. Anything you
use,
conventional or nontoxic could clear up the infection temporarily
if
the cause is dietary or environmental.
Coconut oil will clear up microbial overgrowth, as long as those
microbes are not continually supplied with sustenance.
Try 1/4 tsp of coconut oil in the infected ear once a day for a
week,
and see where you are then. It might take two weeks.

Get the unrefined, virgin stuff, not the refined product. Nutiva
is my
preferred brand. Barlean's is a good one, too.

Giving oregano capsules internally is another solution, though
I'd
still do something externally to sooth any discomfort.

 Hi All,
I hope everyone is well and keeping warm in this cold weather.
Spritz seems to have developed an ear infection over the summer.
She got treated with some cream meds that the vet gave us a
couple of months ago. The infection went away after a couple of
weeks, but it seems like it is back. I can't really smell
anything unusual, but there is a ton of shaking and ear
 scratching...
I do remember Raven suggesting using coconut oil, and I will
definitely do that. I'm wondering if the coconut oil will help
get rid of the infection? I'm not exactly sure what to do since
this is my first time working with this situation.
 Any help would be great!
