I tell people that I won't grab their car keys if they don't grab 
the harness.  Most of the time, they get it right away, laugh and 
back off.  (I can't take credit for that one, an instructor from 
The Seeing Eye, Roger Taylor, told me that once when I expressed 
frustration about people grabbing my dog's harness.  I liked it
