[nagdu] Ben and his food

Ben, my 11-year-old lab, sometimes doesn't keep his food down. This
morning, it came back as soon as he ate it. Other times, it stays down 3
or 4 hours. A few weeks ago, he kept vomitting, like 4 times, so we
took him to the emergency vet. She didn't find anything wrong, and he
seemed fine, even while we were there.
A while back, I thought maybe he was having trouble digesting a whole
cupful of food at a time, so we switched to feeding him 4 half-portions,
instead of 2 big portions. It seemed to work for a while, but now I'm not
so sure.
I switched him to the grain-free buffalo from grain-free chicken, along
with Krokus, and it seems to agree with him fine--no trouble with his
stool, and he's as energetic as ever, though he's always been a laid-back
guy.
He has a slab fracture on one tooth, but his vet doesn't think it affects
the inner tooth and doesn't need to be pulled. He does tend to dribble a
bit when he's eating, but that's been so for years, I think.
I'm not sure what to do. We may make an appointment for an ultrasound, to
see if anything is wrong inside.
Now, we're trying adding more water to his food, and letting it sit a bit,
so he eats it slower and it's softer.
I'd welcome any thoughts.
Tracy
