And it goes on and on, eighty or ninety years after the beginning of guide
dog use in this country we still have this nonsense.

Now I'm probably a pained, but when the drivers have asked me if the dog
sheds I just say "he's a guide dog it's the law."
One particular time that happened, and then I got in the cab and the guy
yelled at me that he was going to put a sheet on the floor and why didn't I
wait.
Hmmm, probably because I thought you wre about to drive away??/
I mean the sheet thing is annoying but I suppose if it's their car they can
do that type of thing, but I was sure the guy was going to just proceed to
deny me the ride so I got in before the mention of a sheet.

Unfortunately, there's no law against someone being an ass. There was no
access denial, near as I can tell, but certainly a bad and uncomfortable
customer service experience. I'm not sure what Uber should do beyond what
they've done; after all, apart from having a chat with the driver about how
to provide a better customer experience, and remind him what the laws are in
case he decides to amp it up next time and actually refuse someone.

Interestingly, that is not under the report a problem section. That is under
the excess ability section, which happens to be if you lines down. I would
have never known to go down that far. So, I got a notification this morning
when I woke up that said that Uber had resolved the issue. I was a little
bit confused because nobody contacted me. However, the resolution they came
up with was they were going to credit our account and be sure to mention the
situation at their weekly meeting.

I do need to tell her to keep down when she wants to cool her nose on the
air conditioning vents in case there is an air bag deployment, which I don't
think she would survive. Even at 70 pounds she curls up into a little ball
between my feet just like she does on airplanes.
