[NAGDU] NAGDU Digest, Vol 140, Issue 5

Hey Elise,
Have had to make a similar choice when my best friend was given a babyshower by a woman who did not want dogs in her home. Which, like you say is anyone's right, but it is also my right not to go!
I hope your family can accept your choice without drama.
If you were close toNew Orleans, I'd invite you down for my traditional, nontraditional Thanksgiving backyard bbq cookout! No turkey, just steak!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Becky!

I have never done that, and never will. My decision is not to go, and I hope she understands. I totally respect anyone that does not like dogs in their homes. But, I have to do what is best for Becky. She is my main concern. Have a happy thanksgiving, everyone.

My husband and I were invited for Thanksgiving at family's house. Where they live is a distance from our house. Usually, when we go down that way, we end up staying 7 to 8 hours. I talked to my sister-in-law. She said it was alright for me to bring Becky, but she does not like dogs in the house. So, I would have to put Becky outside while we were in the house. Becky is not an outside dog. And, I would feel like crap with my dog, the loveof my life, outside while I was sitting in the house with family. I really do not know what to do. Now, I really do not want to go. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Please, I need help with this.
