[NAGDU] Lyft

Howard, of course they have “back channels”. They’re called Facebook groups, website forums (I know of at least a couple of those), … None of which are officially sponsored by Lyft or Uber, and of course, not all drivers join them. Naturally, the posts we see are the nasty ones from nasty people, but that’s sort of the nature of the beast.

Dan, of course laws can be enforced. But, as with any law, especially ones involving discrimination, there are ways to circumvent them. Oh no, it wasn’t because you’re blind that I didn’t hire you, it’s because we found someone more qualified. Or you were overqualified and we found a better fit. Better fit, of course, can often mean “not blind”, but good luck proving it. It’s the same with drivers who proactively don’t accept your ride request.

I just dug through my Lyft app and can’t find anything in mine, and I have definitely reported service animal issues to them in the past. It would be interesting to know, if you look in your app’s settings, if there is something about your dog in profile settings.
