[NAGDU] Peeing a lot

Hi, Tracy!

When we were in class, I ended up giving Sheldon a chance to park before the
trips and sometimes afterwards, along with the regular park times.  

What I found out later was that my previous dog, Bessie, had left a residue
in the dining room way back in 2016.  Sheldon't outside parking got screwed
up because he was drawn to the dining room.  I won't bore you with the
details, but it was a royal nuisance from, say, April of 2018, after I let
him off leash, until the fall of that year.  We needed new flooring in the
dining room, and we were lucky the guy gave us a break.  I was worried that
by then he might have become used to his indoor parking place, but the
problem stopped.

Also, for a time he would get me up early to park.  He almost never does
now, and he's proved himself quite able to wait for almost twelve hours if
need be.  (Bessie, the dog before him, could wait a very long time even if
she didn't have to.)

It does slow me up when Sheldon stops several times while working, and only
some of those stops are for parking.  Still, I'll take that well over
risking not giving him a chance he needs.

You said your dog needs to pee a lot.  I had that problem with my old dog
Krokus, starting very soon after I got him.  He had to go out every 2-3
hours, and sometimes even more often.  If he didn't, he'd have an accident
inside.  Not good.  

I had to carefully manage his water intake, and be mindful of when he'd been
out last.  When we were home, I got in the habbit of taking him out every
time he woke up, pretty much.  

I got a diagnosis of overactive bladder, and gave him pills for years that
seemed to help some-at least he stopped having accidents, though he still
had to go out often.  It was not ideal, but it was manageable. 

Oddly, it got better when we stopped regularly going into New York City with
the beginning of the pandemic, and I weaned him off the pills.  Makes me
wonder if it was at least partly stress-related.

Anyway, I hope your Sheldon doesn't go as often as Krokus used to.  It was a
pain.
