Actually this is remarkably easy.

The case should wheel behind you without any problems.

I would however try to go for a short walk a day or two before you need to
do this, just take the case on a short walk so that your dog gets the idea,
then it won't be a problem.

I've been traveling with such cases for 30 years. I don't know how long you
have had your dog, but a short walk will not only get the dog knowing what
is happening, but will get it over the noise the case makes. All my dogs
have done this successfully, but one was slightly bothered by the noise, it
didn't take him long to come around though.
