2023 NFBN Senior Division Financial Fellowship

 

For Who: First-time Blind Senior convention goers interested in attending
the 2023 National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska (NFBN) annual state
convention; read more about this event below. 

 

Where: Lincoln, NE

 

When: March 23rd through the 26th

 

Why: We in the Senior Division know that attending a convention of the NFB
can be a life changing experience! The agenda is building into another event
that can spur us all to live the lives we want.

Before March 5, 2023, to receive the reduced rate. NOTE: The price of
Registration / Meals will increase by $5.00 if paid after March 5, 2023. 

 

The following choices are included in the registration form:

 

Convention Registration $25.00 - All attendees must register for the
convention.

 

Friday Lunch $25.00 - Enjoy a keynote speaker and choose from one of the
following wrap options.

Meat: Pesto Chicken Wrap - Pesto Chicken, Tomato Basil Relish, Romaine
Greens, Shaved Parmesan in a Tortilla Wrap

 

Vegetarian: Veggie Wrap - Grilled Zucchini, Squash, Onions, Mushrooms,
Quinoa, and Hummus in a Tortilla Wrap

Friday Evening Student Event $15.00 - This is for all the students out there
no matter the age.

 

Saturday Lunch $25.00 - Enjoy a keynote speaker and a choice of one of the
following lunch dishes.

Meat: The Turkey Jack - Roasted Turkey, Monterrey Jack Cheese, Tomato,
Cucumber, Dijon Aioli on Sourdough bread.

 

Vegetarian: Sun-dried Tomato Basil Hummus with seasonal grilled vegetable
medley

Banquet $50 - Attend the highlight of every convention! This year you have
the option of three different entrees. 

Meat: Grilled Choice Filet - Only the best cut of beef sliced daily. 

 

Meat: Spinach and Feta Chicken- Grilled Chicken Breast topped with spinach,
roasted red peppers and feta cheese.

 

Vegetarian: Mushroom Bourguignon- Wild mushrooms, braised in a rich burgundy
sauce, blistered Cipollini onions, over creamy polenta. (Gluten free &
vegan) 

 

Transportation: 

Transportation will be provided to Lincoln on March 23rd with a return trip
on March 26th. 

Additional details on pick up/drop off locations will be provided once
registration closes. 

 

Child Care:

Child care will be available throughout convention. Cost is $20.00 for 1
child and an additional $10.00 per child per day. Lunch and snacks will be
provided.

 

Financial Assistance:

Assistance is available through the Gwendolyn M. Mangnall Scholarship.
Although preference is given to first-time attendees, all are welcome to

The annual academic scholarship is open until February 15th and affords
students the opportunity to participate in the convention and win some much
