Dear all,
Next week, the Most Integrated Setting Coordinating Council, or MISCC, will
be meeting in Albany, NY. These meetings are an opportunity for our
community to show up and give testimony and share our concerns about what
is preventing people with disabilities, including blind people, from living
equal and fully integrated lives in the community. At the MISCC's last
meeting in November, our own amazing Julie Phillipson and Margo Downey gave
testimony on literacy, website access, transportation, and the need to get
blind people out of nursing facilities and into their own homes in the
community.
You can listen to Margo's and Julie's testimony on Youtube starting at
1:52:00. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6754&v=8fXPV3r3v-g

are as follows: MISCC Meeting March 15, 2018 1-3pm in Empire State Plaza
Meeting Room 6.
If you have questions about directions or anything else about the meeting,
including what you might want to say, you can call me at (518) 320-7100
