Hi list ken here. I want to help a friend with her braille I’ve been in touch with NFB and have been waiting for an email with a document on it that I can use on the reader. I really can’t lug hard copy with me to her home in Princeton junction NJ. I need to evaluate what she knows and doesn’t know about braille. The real issue is her ability to recognize the dot placements. I thought there was a way to create a document on the reader itself I thought it had a document manager but don’t see it. I can type into notepad a document that could be used for the letter identification but I want to know what she knows or doesn’t know about the contracted braille how can I create a document with a computer that will simulate the contractions. Can it be done. This is 50 years after the fact since the new York institute for the blind didn’t have the good sense to teach her braille.
