Janice or anyone,

I could not find any videos on this or articles ; unless I missed something! I put deaf blind in the search, and the results seem to have                           nothing to do with what I put in the search!  It got me thinking about this when I read an article  online, pro-tactile The DeafBlind                           Way! It was a really good article.  It was something I never thought about before I read the article and it made sense to me the points in the article! I thought it should be on blindhow's site too!  You  can sign up for an account and post content to the site   in the form of videos and articles!  I wonder if you can send an article about the "i can connect," program.    73 Heather

I am assuming that you know the alphabet? And that when your in class you are learning the signs tacutally? I mean by tactually is by your hands on top of their hands. Interpertors can go very fast but if they slow down, break down the signs so you know the movement, you can pick it up. I had also wanted to take a ASL at my university but chose not too, as I was concerned at how much I would actually learn.

If I speak they can make me leave, they said I can go to another room but, it won't be the lab!   Afterall I am blind and if I cant ask about a sign,    that seems a little unfair!  So how can a colledge say this to me and other blind students taking ASL?    Heather

not allow my mom to do it!  Heather

I am doing ASL on my own with my mom and the ASL online Library!  I wil try
again next semester because, the austin ASL school told me I could not join
because I was blind and they were deaf teachers from tsd.  they had the same
thing, no talking in the classes!  I am trying to get a group of us who want
to take ASL in the blind community and find a teacher!  But I am starting
think that we are not wanted in these classes.  I can forward the message I
got from the austin sign language school!
