[Nfb-history] favorite convention banquet speeches

Hi Chris,

The audio files have to be downloaded one chapter at a time. The files are two big to combine them into one file. Here is the link to the audio version.

http://www.nfb.org/nfb/WAMT.asp

The HTML version is trickier to download, since you need to be on the lookout for the embedded speeches, so you won't miss them. Here is the page for this version.

If you download the book from NLS Web Braille, then you down load each Braille volume as a BRF file and there are eleven of these.

Hi Ellen,

Thanks! From the price and Mike's telling me that it's eleven volumes, I think I'll just download the book. Can I download the whole book or do I have to download one chapter at a time? Just wondering! Thanks!

Hi Chris,

The Man and the Movement is not on the NFB's Web site. It is available in Braille from the Independence Market for $10.00 + shipping and handling. Walking alone and Marching Together is available on the NFB Web site in HTML and in audio. You can also download the BRF files from the NLS site. The hard copy Braille version is available for $50.00 + S/H from the Independence Market.

Chris, I recommend "Jacobus TenBroek, the Man and the Movement.",
which came out in July of 1968.

 Hi all,

As I am a newer member of the NFB, and starting to get
interested in the history of the Federation, I have a question
for you more experienced Federationists and history buffs. :)
This could also start a great discussion that may help many of
us find some historical information. If you had to pick, what
are your personal favorite National Convention banquet speeches
from Dr. tenBroek, Dr. Jernigan, and Dr.
Maurer? I ask
this so I can get recommendations for banquet speeches I may
want to read and/or listen to. Please let us know!
