Good evening everyone,

I'll second Mike on his recommendation to use .MP3 Format rather than .WAV 
due to the very large file size.

    If you don't have professional recording equipment and only plan to make 
recordings for yourself or to share with individuals this is not as critical 
an issue. On the other hand if you're going to post recordings on a Web site 
or market them to the public you want the recording quality to be the best 
it can be hence the need for professional grade audio equipment. Just get 
your feet wet and practice making meeting recordings using the equipment you 
have if it's for your personal use or is to be shared with friends. Hope
