Robert--

Fascinating. Thanks for letting us know. I'm copying Anna Kresmer (I don't know if she one the list), in case there's some way for her to let users of THE CANE TIP know about this resource.

Ed

To all:

Duxbury Systems has several important collections of electronic documents.

One such collection concerns the history of braille translation and braille embossers.

Instead of keeping this collection private, we have decided to place this on our web site. (Thank you, Joe) This collection of about 170 documents is between 200 and 300 megabytes.

We have a link to this material from our "About Braille" Sub-menu on the Duxbury Systems website.

Here is the direct link:
http://www.duxburysystems.com/downloads/library/history/index.htm

Some of these documents were thought to have been lost to history (cue the music for "Raiders of the Lost Ark").

Of course, anyone who has documents or collections that can improve this collection is welcome to e-mail me directly at david at duxsys.com
