Aloha,

I have been having some stomach issues lately and want to cut down on dairy
products. I like yogurt as a snack, but want to know if there are any
non-dairy yogurt alternatives which have low fat and low sugar? I would
like to know about some basic resources and an introduction to vegan with
just some simple foods that don't involve a lot of ingredients. I have to
stay away from the beans though because I have a lot of gas already.
Thanks.

Annette

Subject: [NFB-InTheKitchen] Join the NFB of Hawaii Vegan Cooking Fun in May

Aloha,

The NFB of Hawaii invites you to join our Vegan Cooking Fun discussion group
on zoom on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

The times will be:

12 noon to 1 pm Hawaii time,

3 to 4 pm Pacific time

4 to 5 pm mountain time

5 to 6 pm central time,

6 to 7 pm Eastern time.

You do not have to be a vegan cook to join. But if you have any interest in
eating vegan once a week or increasing your intake of plant foods to improve
health, lose weight, or just save animals or the planet, then please join
us. It's free.

The topic for May will be grilling and other picnic foods. And bring your
questions, tips, and recipes to share. If you have a favorite recipe that
contains animal products and you are not sure how to "veganize" it, please
bring it and we can offer suggestions that will taste good.

Also if you have questions or fears about not eating animal products, please
ask and we can suggest reliable research and or books or information.

Thanks,

Debbie Gabe
