Valerie,

Circular needles are really easy. I am actually using them for flat work
because they help keep the weight of the project off the actual needles when
you work on large items.

I have never noticed a difference in stitches twisting verses using straight
needles. Circulars can also be used as stitch holders and life lines. There
is even a technique for using to circulars for socks instead of using double
pointed needles.
