kind of reminds me of "ASCII art" -- in particular, the little ascii
pictures that some people used to put in their email signatures.
Probably the best one I saw -- or rather the most realistic, was a picture
of a flute in the signature of a person on a flute player's list I was on
for a short time. It was a simple picture with only a handful of
well-chosen characters, but indeed it looked very much like a real flute.
Now no one does ascii pics any more. But of course, I can't see them any
more either...*smile*

A WORD FROM KIM CHARLSON...
"Creativity and individual personal style are so often expressed,
particularly by
children, through art and drawing. The creation of tactile pictures can be
an excellent
method of developing drawing and other artistic skills for children who are
blind
or visually impaired."

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING...
"Using this book, I can finally do artwork independently. I've learned that
art is
more than colors on paper."
- Sam Lylis, Perkins Student
"These well-designed braille drawings can be a fun, artistic exercise and
learning
experience that can eliminate some of the anxiety and/or reluctance that
frequently
accompanies the braille learning process for many older adults."
