Never mind the glue bottle, just get the glue sticks.  They are a tube  and 
you rub it on whatever you want to glue.  It is not watery and then you  
let it dry a little.  My 3 year old Granddaughter uses them without any  
trouble.  
 
Encourage him to  go out and use his cane.  Bring him on a side  walk and 
tell him to stand a few seconds and feel with the cqane.  Let him  tap the 
side walk  and the grass.   
then let him explore.Tell him about bumps and he needs to feel and lift his 
 feet up a bit, but let him  go and explore.
