[Nfb-krafters-korner] Tips for knitting cables needed

Hi knitters,
 
I am working on a project that has cables.  While I understand the mechanics
of making the cables, I'm looking for some tips on manipulating the 3
needles.  I have both the straight cable needle with the bump in the middle,
and the "V" shaped one.  Thus far, I'm thinking that I like the "V" shaped
needle best, but I'm not wed to it at this point.  Any tips and tricks you
can offer will be appreciated.
