Hey Joyce or Eileen,

Question, I do have previous knitting knowledge, not much but some. Joyce, I
can not break the habit of English knitting. Like a little bit country a
little bit rock and roll. I knit like in book Touch of yarn, but I am
missing something. I have no problems with slip knot, cause I use them in
crochet and all. I place slip in my left hand, pinch with thumb and pointer,
drop right needle and throw yarn over rightneedle and scratch over left, but
I am not coming up with a loop on my right needle to place on left. Am I
not throwing my yarn the correct way? I have rechecked the book and it says
wrap yarn clockwise? around needle, drop yarn into y connection and scrath
thru. Suggestions?

I know Eileen you teach continental way, but I can not grap yarn while in my
left hand. I do like the suggestion of, after making split knot, place tail
under your watchbank so you do not pick it up when casting.
