I took my knitting with me to my daughter's yesterday for Thanksgiving. I 
was working on a shawl. I was determined to get it finished last night, and 
stayed up till I did finish it. It is not a gift, I was just making it 
because I wanted to make it.
I take my knitting just about everywhere I go. I keep it in one of those 
Yarn Tainters so it is compact and easy to carry - unless I am working on a 
large project, and in that case I carry it in a tote with handles.

I will not be traveling anywhere for Christmas, because we have it all here 
at our house every year.
