[Nfb-krafters-korner] ideas for a bracelet

Hi Guys,
Even though I am the total in the family, my Husband's lungs keep him from
doing much of any movement. I guess the trip across the house takes ore
energy then my millions of trips. Lol

I worry, I can fix low points soups and keep in my points. All of a sudden
he is low in his points useage and I refuse to cook him steak and me soup.
Then we have our Son, he can't do fiber. I will not, wait, I don't want to
be, a short order cook. But I do want to loose.

You are right, washing the floor is good. Also finding the beads that fall
isn't a bad way to get exercise when making that points bracelet. Llol

My Victor Stream has saved me as far as exercise goes. I set the timer and
have to stay on the machine until the victor stops. I am saving T shirts to
make a rug. Figured the Grand Kids have tons of shirts to get rid of and a
family design would be fun. That will become a standing craft.

Kneeding bread for bread dough designs would be exercise. Probably should
put the bread machine away. Gardening and drying and pressing flowers would
be another.

Well, the bracelet is tonights project so I guess I will close and hope to
hear more ideas for calory burning crafting.
Henrietta

Thank you all for having this conversation. I have to get serious again
about weight and it has to not be boring. So, if our spouse gets to eat a
ton because of hard work, then, as blind folk, we have to figure out how to
do hard labor! Things like scrub those floors on hands and knees, dancing
our hearts out, making a garden, ... It ain't easy, but it is doable. Also,
in our crafting, we find ways to burn more calories. Stand up to do things
because that gets more of the body involved. Instead of gathering items,
make a dozen trips from one room to another, anything that makes us move in
some way. Sighted people do crafts like woodworking, painting a mural,
sculpting, masonry, tile work, ... What are some things we can do that are
active and promote opportunities to be even more active? My treadmill is
good but if I don't realize I'm exercising, it's even more fun!
