How about getting a set of plastic bowling pins and teach him how to bowl.  After he gets the hang of it, introduce him to the real bowling lanes.  I am not into sports, much, but I love bowling.  They have guard rales for blind people, if he ever joines a blind leage.  He can use the rack where the balls come back for a guide, instead of a guard rale.  My friends just tell me what pins I still have standing and I ame and role.  I am not a great bowler by any means, but I still bowl with my staff members, at our Christmas party!
