One fun craft I have done with my girls is a decoupage plate. Using
1. a glass plate,
2. mod podge craft glue,
3. and some seasonal fabric.

Cut the fabric so it is a little larger than the diameter of the back side
of the plate. Paint a layer of Mod Podge on the front side of the fabric
and glue the fabric to the back side of the plate. Flatten it out in order
to squeeze out all the bubbles. Trim the edges of the fabric to fit the
plate. Then paint on another layer or two of mod podge on the back side of
the fabric. Allow to dry. You now have a seasonal plate that looks really
nice in a window, it sort of gives a stained glass effect. Or set in the
middle of your kitchen table to bring in a little seasonal color.

We did this for Christmas, but it can be done for any holiday, Valentine's,
St. Patrick's, Easter, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day,
Thanksgiving, etc...
