[Nfb-krafters-korner] Extremely Dissapointed

Hi Henrietta:

My first comments are directed to you. As I go on they are meant for NFB KK
leadership so don't misunderstand what I'm writing to you vs them.

Don't discount what you have contributed to the group. You have had a lot
of good contributions, including your bubble gum trip. and crafty kids stuff

It is not about how many or how few classes an instructor teaches, how good
or how poor the quality, if that instructor has plans in the works currently
to turn their materials into a business or not, the bottom line is that it
is materials owned by the instructor and it is unlawful for anyone or any
organization to lay claims upon it without written and express consent by &
from the owner of those materials. If you or any other on the list choose
to say to the Krafters Korner division, or for those who may not understand
what group I'm referring to, the NFB Krafter's Korner Division, then that is
your choice & right as the owner of those materials to say, "I don't care,
you can have the stuff I made, wrote, created, taught and do with my
materials as the organization sees fit. It is my gift."
That is the call of the individual owner of those particular materials
regarding their own materials, however, it is not my call nor am I or will I
ever gift such materials/property away. If certain board members want to be
nasty and say they have no desire to touch my materials or anything
asssociated with me of a pole of any length, then that board member and the
President of the division should both have the integrity & intelligence
along with the courage to step up to the plate and say, "
Eileen, we, the NFB Krafters Korner, have no claim of ownership on your
materials, We have not and will not in the future attempt to sell your
materials and we acknowledge that you as the developer & instructor of
"Beginner Knitting", "Reading Knitting Instructions", "Knitting in the round
with Magic Loop & 2 Circs", "using A Life Line", "Cast On Techniques", &
"Double Knitted Pouch", are the sole owner of all related materials
developed for the teaching of these classes to our membership. still the
question remains unanswered by leadership but instead we just talk about
powwow beads like the bigger and more important discussion never took place.
How nice it would be if we could all just forget and ignore that there is a
potential abuse going on that is being so easily being brushed over and
therefore forgotten about.

That is what the leadership wants, for it to all just disappear and everyone
act like not a thing happened on the list this week. All sweetness and
innocence. No one then has to make hard decissions and no one has to stand
up for lawful behavior and activity. Maybe I could walk into my local yarn
store or crafts shop one of these days and say, "I've always wanted to work
with this pattern, I'm not paying for it so I'll just walk out the door.
I'm blind and entitled to it for free. It isn't important that I'm stealing
from someone." Oh yes, my friend 2 doors down has a big beautiful 2 carrot
diamond ring and I've always wanted one of them too. While I'm looking for
things I want and just feel entitled to because I'm blind and life can be
hard at times I think I'll just take that beautiful ring as well. You may
have a hard time associating this type of theft with copyright infringements
but it is the exact same thing. Is the entire board taking a seat on the
pity pot? Can't a single one of you, other than Audrey, stand up and do
the right & lawful thing?

As a division of the NFB, an organization that is supposed to support blind
people in their life persuits & goals, the board as a whole has shown
themselves to all be poor examples & bad roll models as the representatives.
What a disgrace of a division and how poorly you have treated a person, me
as well as other instructors who are not saying you can walk off with my
materials. You have gotten help and support from many on this list who you
are showing a total lack of respect for. There is no question in my mind
that if any answers to my email get addressed they will be the things I'
stated about the NFB KK board, still the lawful questions will remain
unanswered and unaddressed.
